About the trails

Gravel, dirt and stone cover the trails with occasional steep slopes provide vigorous hiking along 4 color coded marked trails: Red, Green, Blue and Yellow. Trail sections include: the .7-mile main branch beginning at Vollmerhausen Road; a 1.4-mile loop along the Beech Grove, Carl’s Rock Bottom, and Middle Patuxent Overlook trails; the .4-mile Hogs Neck Trail; and the 1.3-mile unimproved Pick Rock Trail.
